Our 2021 Annual General Meeting will be held on 21 July at 6.30pm in Alexandria Hall, St Luke’s Church.
The AGM is an opportunity for you to have input into how the garden is run, raise any concerns or put suggestions forward. We warmly welcome you to attend, and ask that you RSVP. If you are unable to attend the AGM, it is important that you complete, sign and return the attached proxy form so that we can vote on your behalf and to ensure we meet the quorum required; you are welcome to nominate any current member who will be attending, including any on the current committee.
One of the most important items on the agenda is to elect (or re-elect) members of the committee. The committee comprises six positions: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Garden Coordinator, Bedholders’ Representative and General Members’ Representative. We need a full committee to keep the garden going and there are, usually, about 9 or 10 meetings a year to attend to help share the decision making. So we invite you to nominate yourselves for a role on the committee and if you would like to know more about any of the positions, details are included in the attached Rules and Guidelines (pages 1 and 2) or please get back in contact.
We look forward to seeing as many members at the AGM as possible.
